Advances in the treatment of congenital heart defects have greatly increased survivorship, which requires a new subspecialty dedicated to the treatment of congenital heart defect patients who reach adulthood. Drs. Andrew Leventhal and Hassan Reda of the Gill Heart and Vascular Institute's Kentucky Adult Congenital Heart Program led a multidisciplinary team that saved Jason Conn's life and returned him to his job, his family, and his garage, where he restores vintage cars.
